(January 9, 2021, 10:15 p.m.) -- Parents/guardians with students at six more LBUSD pre-school program sites (listed below) have received notices stating that someone infected with the COVID-19 virus has been on campus. Notices to some parents/guardians also include a Quarantine Directive that their child "may have had exposure" to the case since the child "may have been within 6 feet of the infected person for more than 15 minutes" and as a result their child "should quarantine at home for 14 days."

As of midafternoon January 9, 2021, LBUSD's COVID-19 Digital Dashboard indicates that since Sept. 1, 2020, LBUSD (with only pre-school programs currently operating) has had a total of 189 total COVID-19 cases involving LBUSD employees (142), plus students (33) plus vendors/visitors (14.) (As of dawn Dec. 19, the total was 158 cases among 114 employees, 32 students and 12 vendors/visitors.]

LBUSD routinely sends two types of notices: general notices to parents/guardians with a child at the campus and specific notices to parents/guardians whose child was potentially exposed.
