(July 11, 2020, `12:45 p.m.) -- LB police officers (with a SWAT response) arrested a man who allegedly burglarized and ransacked a home in the 100 block of Pomona Ave. after possibly comitting an armed robbery at a 2nd St. business a few hours earlier.

LBPD Public Information Officer/Ofr Ivan Garcia says that on July 10 at about 2:35 p.m. officers responded to the 5200 block of E, 2bd St, regarding an armed robbery to a business in which the suspect allegedly walked out with property after threatening employees with a bladed weapon.

Officers searched for the suspect but didn't find him...until about 6 p.m. when officers were sent to the 100 block of Pomona Ave. regarding a residential burglary in progress. Based on information from witnesses to the burglary, officers concludedd that the same suspect was involved in the earlier armed robbery.

Officers set up a containment perimeter, called on the suspect to exit the residence...and when he didn't, SWAT was notified. The suspect was ultimately located and arrested inside the home.

LBPD arrested/booked Michael Larry, 39, of LB, on suspicion of residential burglary, vandalism and being under the influence of a controled substance...and is investigating his possible connection to the earlier armed robbery.
