(July 10, 2021) -- A man says he ws inside his WLB residence (2900 block Canal Ave.) last night (July 9) when he observed that his residence had ben struck by gunfire.

LBPD Public Information Officer Brandon Fahey says that at about 10:02 p.m. on July 9, officers responded to the 2900 block of Canal Avenue regarding a reported shooting into an inhabited dwelling. "Officers canvassed the area and located ballistic evidence indicating a shooting had occurred."

No physical injuries were reported. No suspect information is available and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
