|(June 16, 2005) -- Bixby Knolls is preparing for its annual Street Fair on Sunday June 26 along Atlantic Ave. from Bixby Rd. to Carson St...and this year the event will feature the largest number of vendor booths in its history: nearly 200.
The free, open-air festival -- themed as Summer in Bixby Knolls -- is a tradition on the last Sunday in June...and has been built into a major event by the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA).
Crowds filled Atlantic Ave. during 2004 Street Fair
Over 10,000 residents and visitors are expected along Atlantic Ave. to enjoy unique, hand-crafted items, local artisans, antique vendors, street boutiques, local businesses, community organizations...and (a big favorite) partake of edible delights from multiple food vendors.
Kiddies take a spin at last year's Street Fair
There'll be a Kids Zone with pony rides, a rock climbing wall, games, train rides and a giant slide.
In addition, live bands, local musicians and dance groups will perform on an outdoor stage and on the street.
LBReport.com readers are encouraged to greet many of our loyal advertisers who'll be at the Street Fair...including ValuesAt.com, a cutting edge, internet savvy consumer and local business marketing medium and Nino's Ristorante, a Bixby Knolls icon and LB's oldest Italian restaurant.
Also expected: Friends of LB Animals, another LBReport.com sponsor and an annual street fair favorite.
In 21st century style, Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association (BKBIA) Executive Director Jeffrey Henderson is presenting this traditional event accompanied by a special event website: www.bixbyknollsstreetfair.com.
BKBIA also maintains a permanent web presence at: www.bixbyknollsinfo.com.
