(June 8, 2019, 10:05 a.m.) -- LB Firefighters scrambled to put out a brush fire that erupted shortly before midnight (Friday night June 7-Sat a.m. June 8) alongside the 405 freeway at the Palo Verde Ave. exit that came uncomfortably close to a home in the 2400 block of Fanwood Ave.

LBFD Firefighter / PIO Jake Heflin told LBREPORT.com that investigators haven't yet established a cause for the blaze. LBREPORT.com is following-up on this story. Watch for updates which we'll provide as we learn more.

At 0002 hrs. #YourLBFD responded to the SB 405 freeway at the Palo Verde exit for a brush fire. Units also responded to the 2400 block of Fanwood Ave. to protect a residence that was in close proximity to the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. pic.twitter.com/DwMoPGICPN
