(June 2, 2020) -- While looters exploited LB's thin police level to vicimtize various neighborhoods from downtown to uptown, LB had two shooting crime scenes. In both cases, victims were driving on or nearby Anaheim St. when some person(s) shot at them within a fifteen minute period at locations a little over a mile apart. We don't have any evidence of looting along Anaheim St. in these two areas. .

LBPD Public Information Officer/PD Officer Ivan Garcia tells LBREPORT.com:

  • On May 31 at about 8:30 p.m., a man was shot/wounded in the area of Anaheim St./Alamitos Ave. (6th dist./Andrews) The victim was driving in the area when he was shot.

  • On May 31 at about 8:45 p.m., officers were sent to the 3000 block of E. Anaheim St. (4th dist/Supernaw) regarding a shooting. The rounds missed hitting the victim who was driving when he was shot-at. Oficers found evidence of the shooting: strike marks damaged the victim's vehicle.
