(July 1, 2020, 10:05 p.m.) -- L.A. County said "NO" and as a result the City of Lakewood has CANCELED its plans to provide THREE professional fireworks displays on July 3 (from THREE locations intended to permit viewing individually from neighborhoods without mass gatherings.)
In an emailed notification tonight (July 1), the City of Lakewood stated: The County of Los Angeles has issued a new public health order that bans all large-scale fireworks shows in the county in order to reduce the chances of people congregating and creating a COVID-19 transmission situation.
