(June 8, 2021, 3:50 a.m.) -- Northwest North Long Beach (CD 9/Richardson) had its second fatal shooting within less than a week on Monday night.

Initial information is sketchy. LBPD Watch Commander Aaron Alu says that on June 7, 2021 at about 10:33 p.m., LBPD officers were sent to the area of Long Beach Blvd/ Forhan St. regarding a shots call. The shooting occurred on the SW corner of Long Beach Blvd, the western border (just outside) the Coolidge Triangle. (Similar address would be 6400 Block of North Long Beach Boulevard.)

Officers found a male Black adult with multiple gunshot wounds and performed life saving measures on the victim until LBFD arrived and pronounced him deceased.

"Possible suspects were described as two male Black adults, last seen running westbound on Forhan St." LBPD's investigation is ongoing

The homicide comes three days after a man (adult) was found shot in a vehicle on June 4 in NLB's Coolidge Triangle in the area of Barclay St/LB Blvd. and was taken to a hsopital where he died.

We'll update this story with more as confirmed.
