LBPD Arrests Man In Shooting Of Woman 1000 block Dawson, Says They Were In Dating Relationship

UPDATE June 5: In a release, LBPD says the victim, Crystal Gonzalez, 18, of Long Beach died June 5.

(June 4, 2021, 9:25 a.m.) -- Following up on a story reported yesterday (June 3) on LBREPORT.com, LBPD indicated today (June 4) that LBPD Homicide Detectives have arrested Luis Alberto Oros, 22, of Long Beach on suspicion of the attempted murder of a 19-year-old woman with whom Oros was allegedly involved in a dating relationship.

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher adds that Detectives "anticipate presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office early next week for filing consideration" while the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
