(June 18, 2021, delayed posting) -- Someone fired shots in the midnight hour June 12 at a man sitting in his parked vehicle in the area of Santa Fe Ave./Seabright Ave. (near WLB's Gold Star Manor) in Councilman Roberto Uranga's CD 7. The rounds missed hitting him,

LBPD Public Information Officer Richard Mejia says that on June 12 at about 12:03 a.m., officers were sent to the 1800 block of West Spring Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. They found an uninjured man (adult) who said he was inside his parked car in the area of Seabright Avenue/Santa Fe Avenue when he was shot at from an unknown vehicle.

Officers located evidence, including bullet casings, indicating a shooting had occurred. The suspect(s) fled in a vehicle before officers arrived. No suspect nor vehicle information is available. No motive is available. LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
