(June 20, 2021) -- A man walking to his car in the area of PCH/Cherry (CD 4/Supernaw) at about daybreak Sunday June 20, 2021 found bullet holes in his vehicle.

LBPD Public Information Officer Richard Mejia says that on June 20 about 6:03 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Cherry Avenue regarding a shots call. On arrival, officers contacted an adult male who that stated upon walking to his vehicle earlier in the morning, he found bullet holes in his vehicle.

No injuries were reported. Officers located evidence, including strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred.

The suspect(s) fled before officers arrived. No suspect information nor motive is available. LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
