NLB Gunfire (3200 block Poppy, CD 9/Richardson) Wakens Sleeping Woman, Who Finds Rounds Hit Her Residence And Parked Vehicle

(June 8, 2021, 3:50 a.m., updated 12:30 p.m.) -- Just hours after a homicide (the second in three days) in or nearby NLB's Coolidge Triangle (LBREPORT.com coverage here), gunfire struck an occupied residence and left strike marks on a parked vehicle in NLB's Ramona Park neighborhood in the 3200 block of Poppy St. (between Paramount Blv/Downey Ave., south of Artestia Blvd.

LBPD Public Information Officer Brandon Fahey says the gunfire wakened a sleeping woman who observed that her residence and her parked unoccupied vehicle had been struck by the gunfire.

LBPD Public Information Officer Brandon Fahey says LBPD responded regarding a shots call at about 2:38 a.m...and found evidence, including casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred.

No physical injuries reported; no suspect information avilable; the motive for the shooting is unknown.
