(June 4, 2021, 8:15 a.m.) -- Long Beach had two shootings -- within an hour of each other -- on June 3: one in the Willmore City historic district (CD 1/Zendejas), another along the Broadway corridor at Orange Ave.(CD 2/Allen.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says that on June 3 at about 2:30 a.m., officers were sent to the area of 5th Street/Maine Avenue regarding a shooting and found a 35 year old man (adult) with a gunshot wound. LBFD took him to a hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. LBPD described the victim as "uncooperative with the investigation," said he didn't provide suspect information and officers were unable to locate a crime scene. Suspect information and motive are unknown; LBPD's investigation is ongoing.

In a second shooting at about 3:04 a.m., PIO Gallagher officers were sent to the area of Broadway/Orange Avenue (CD 2/Allen) regarding a shots call and found a 28 year old man who said he'd been involved in a dispute with a woman (adult) which escalated when an uninvolved woman shot at the victim (who didn't sustain injuries.) LBPD has since arrested Keishon Bradford, a 47 year old woman, of Long Beach, booked on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal threats with bail set at $1,000,000.
