(June 17, 2021, 5:00 a.m.) -- The 7-11 at Ocean Blvd./Alamitos Ave. (CD 2/Allen) was robbed last night (June 16). The convenience store is steps away from Long Beach's tallest luxury residential high rise ("Shoreline Gateway") and catty-corner/across the street from the historic Villa Riviera.

LBPD Watch Commander Brandon Deis says that on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at about 8:37 p.m. South Division Officers responded to the 7-11 at Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue regarding an armed robbery.

The suspects entered the business and demanded money from the victim employee. The victim believed the suspects were armed and complied with their demands. The victim was not injured.

The two suspects were both described as males, wearing dark colored hoodies. The investigation is ongoing.
