Someone Shoots At Woman Driving On 91 Fwy/Near Atlantic Ave., Leaves Bullet Holes In Her Vehicle

(June 8, 2021, 4:15 p.m.) -- Someone fired shots at a woman driving westbound on the 91 freeway near Atlantic Ave. The rounds didn't hit her but left bullet holes in her vehicle.

In a news release, CHP's incident narrative indicates that on June 7 at about 11:29 p.m., the LA Communications Center broacast a "shots fired" report and CHP responded to the victim's Long Beach residence. The victim stated she was driving westbound on the 91 freeway east of Atlantic Ave. in the #1 lane "when a grey Honda Accord, traveling at a high rate of speed i the #1 lane behind the victim, drove around her vehicle and brake checked her. The Honda then veered off toward the I-710 transition road and the victim heard two large bangs. When the victim arrived home she observed two bullet holes in the passenger side of her vehicle."

CHP asks any witnesses traveling on the 91 freeway to call CHP's South Los Angeles Office at (424) 551-4000.
