(March 26, 2019, 6:15 p.m.) -- Gunfire flew at midafternoon today (March 26) in LB's Zaferia neighborhood (Junipero Ave. a block south of PCH, 4th dist/Councilman Supernaw.)

LBPD Public Information Officer/Detective Jennifer Arzola tells LBREPORT.com that at about 2:40 p.m. March 26, officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 2:40 near 17th St./Junipero Ave and confirmed the gunfire with casings found in the 2300 block of E. 17th St.

It appears to be a "no person hit" shooting with no individual(s) struck. LBPD says there's no immediate suspect description and at this point the shooting doesn't appear to be gang-related.
