(Mar. 27, 2019, 11:20 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com provides on-demand AUDIO of state Senate runoff finisher Jack Guerrero (CPA, Harvard/Stanford Grad, Cudahy Councilman) at a Feb. 27 multi-candidate forum as part of Liberation Brewing's monthly Beer & Politics series. (LBREPORT.com covered the event in real time with extended audio.)

To launch audio of candidate Guerrero's opening statement and responses to three salient questions, click here. (6:04; audio edits indicated with a "whoosh" sound.)

Candidate Lena Gonzalez (LB 1st dist. Councilwoman who finished first in the March 26 initial election) wasn't present; we learned later she was part of a City of LB delegation to Vancouver, B.C. for a trade/LB economic development trip. Accordingly, on Feb. 28 LBREPORT.com offered Ms. Gonzalez the opportunity to answer by email the questions (heard on the audio below) posed to Mr. Guerrero and the other attending candidates. When we received no answers, we sought to attend but were denied entry as a reporter at a March 9 "Meet Lena" campaign event. (Candidate Gonzalez exited through a back door while we were waiting at the front door.) We then broadened our offer to seek answers to additonal questons, offering to do so in a phone conversation that we'd make available to our readers. To date we've received no response.

Runoff candidates Gonzalez and Guerrero will now be on a June 4 special election ballot for residents within the area on the map below. The winner will become CA's newest state Senator.
