(May 2, 2019) -- A man (adult) was stabbed by another man (adult) shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday (May 1) in LB's Zaferia neighboord (area 16th St./Obispo Ave., 4th Council district) following an argument between the two in nearby Orizaba Park.

LBPD Public Information Officer Shaunna Dandoy Please tells LBREPORT.com (preliminary information, investigation ongoing) that LBFD sought LBPD assistance after the stabbing at 16th.Obispo and LBFD transported the victim to a hospital where he declined medical treatment. LBPD says the victim was uncooperative during its preliminary investigation, which indicates that the assault with a deadly weapon happened after a verbal altercation between the two men in Orizaba Park.

LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
