(May 10, 2019, 12:15 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned of a very disturbing crime that occurred last week in ELB's Lakewood Village neighborhood (5th Council district.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Jennifer De Prez tells LBREPORT.com that on May 1 at about 8:41 p.m., four to six men wearing ski masks -- at least one of whom was armed with a firearm -- made forced entry into an inhabited home in the 4400 block of Heather Road. They took various items including handbags and jewelry from two female victims (adults). The victims observed the suspects but didn't interact with them during the incident.

LBPD says no [physical] injuries were reported; the suspects remain outstanding and LBPD says its investigation is ongoing.
