May 9 Update: Three More Deaths (Two NOT In Long Term Care Facilities; 2 In 70s, 1 in 80s) 931 Persons (Up From 898) Have Now Tested Positive. Roughly 595 Have Recovered

(May 9, 2020, 3:55 p.m.) -- As the City of Long Beach reopened its parks for individual (not group) uses and allowed some (not all) categories of retail services to provide mainly curbside services, the City announced three more LB deaths from thee COVID-19 virus. Only one of the three deaths was in a long-term care facility. Two of the deceased were in their 70s, 1 was in their in 80s, all had undelrying health conditions. LB's COVID19 death total is now 43.

931 LB residents have now tested positive tod date (up from 898 yesterday.) The number of LB residents tested in recent weeks has significantly increased in recent cent weeks.

Roughly 575 LB residents have recoverd to date.

49 persons hospitalized as of today (yesday was 50, day-before-yesterday wss 46.)
