(May 11, 2021, 11:10 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that part of NLB's "Uptown Commons" commercial development -- a Starbucks at 695 E. Artesia Blvd. (CD 9/Richardson) -- was struck by gunfire in the 3 a.m. hour today (May 11.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says officers were sent to the location regarding possible vandalism and on arrival found shattered glass and observed that the building had been struck by gunfire. "Officers located evidence, including casings, indicating a shooting had occurred," PIO Gallagher adds that through their preliminary investigation "officers believe this may be a possible burglary."

The business was closed at the time of the incident No persons were reported injured and suspect information isn't immediately available.
