    LB Man Fatally Shot, 1000 block Artesia Blvd.

    (November 20, 2003) -- LBPD says that shortly before 9 p.m. on November 19, a 32-year old LB man standing in front of a residence in the 1000 block of E. Artesia Blvd. was fatally shot by a suspect on foot. Police say the shooter fired multiple times.

    Victim Derrick Farlough of LB was hit at least twice. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

    LBPD describes the suspect as a 6'3", 200 pound male Black with braids wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was last seen running east on Artesia Blvd.

    Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call LBPD Homicide Detectives Steven Smith or Scott Lasch at (562) 570-7244.
