November 16, 2018) -- A man (adult) says he was shot/wounded on Thursday night (Nov. 15) in the area of 10th St./Locust Ave. (1st dist.)
LBPD Public Information Officer Ben Hearst tells LBREPORT.com that on November 15 at roughly 8:45 p.m., LBPD dispatched officers to a hospital for a man (adult) with a gunshot wound. Police described the victim as "uncooperative" and officers couldn't find a crime scene in the location indicated. The type of firearm isn't known and LBPD's investigation is ongoing. This is the second shooting within a week in which the victim (who obviously knows the location where they were shot) hasn't cooperated and provided a location where officers couldn't find a crime scene. (The other was Nov. 10 in the area of PCH/Henderson (LBREPORT.com coverage here.) Accordingly, LBREPORT.com has begun a new reporting category on our cumulating map (below), showing such shootings with an "*" asterisk, and lists them accordingly on the continually updating chart on our front page (www.LBREPORT.com) showing shootings/stabbings by Council districts.
