Man Says He Was Shot/Wounded, Area PCH/Henderson (One Block East of Magnolia)

November 12, 2018.) -- A man says he was shot/wounded in the area of PCH/Henderson on Saturday night (Nov. 10) by an unknown suspect, ten minutes after someone opened fire on a parked vehicle with two people inside in downtown Long Beach (200 block Pacific Ave.), missing the two occupants but damaging the vehicle (LBREPORT.com coverage here.)

Saturday night's gunfire preceded a shooting on Sunday night (Nov. 11) in which a man was hit/wounded in the area of Atlantic/Burnett (6th Council district) (reported here by LBREPORT.com)

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBREPORT.com that at about 10:30 p.m. on November 10, officers were sent to an area hospital where a man said he was hit by gunfire in the area of PCH/Henderson Ave. by an unknown suspect. Assisting officers went to the location but weren't able to find a crime scene. He victim's injuries are described as as non-life-threatening; LBPD hasn't identified a motive for the shooting and its investigation is ongoing.

LBPD asks anyone with information regarding the incidents to contact the Gang Enforcement Section at (562) 570-7370.
