(November 8, 2018, 4:30 p.m.) -- A man (adult) was standing outside at early evening Wednesday in the Wrigley district (Pine Ave./20th St.) when someone walked up to him, shot him and fled in what LBPD is investigating as a possibly gang related shooting.

LBPD Public Information Officer Alvino Herrera tells LBREPORT.com that at about 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, it responded to a hospital after learning that a man had been hit by gunfire and was being treated for a non-life-threatening wounds. Officers learned that the victim may have been shot in the area of 20th St./Pine Ave. and assisting officers found a crime scene [evidence of a shooting] at that location

LBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates the victim was outside when a suspect [no immediate description] approached and fired at him before fleeing the scene. LBPD is investigating what took place as possibly gang related.
