(November 8. 2018, 5:20 p.m.) -- Boeing Realty has announced that its former "Globemaster"/C17 property is up for sale...a story LBREPORT.com readers learned (first again) over a month ago.

On Oct. 3, LBREPORT.com reported that on Oct. 2, the City Council held a closed session listing a conference with the City's real property negotiator [City Manager Pat West] regarding property at 2400 and 2401 E. Wardlow Rd. with price and terms "under negotiation."

2400 and 2401 E. Wardlow Rd is location of the former Globemaster/C17 facility.

At the opening of the City Council's Oct. 2 public session, City Attorney Parkin indicated there publicly reportable action took place in the Oct. 2 closed session.

On November 6, the Boeing Company announced it has listed the former C-17 Globemaster III manufacturing site for sale (roughly 90 acres, over 3.92 million square feet.)

As also previously reported by LBREPORT.com, City Hall's Development Services Dept. is currently seeking public input on a land use plan for the "Globemaster Corridor Specific Plan" which includes the former C-17 plant along with surrounding commercial and industrial areas. The City's plan lists the C-17 site as a location for a business park. PPT slides accompanying a Sept. 26 descriptive public meeting are here.
