(November 21, 2018) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that one day after a man and woman in their 50s were fatally shot while driving in the area of 17th St./Alamitos Ave. (south of LBCC PCH campus), gunfire was heard, LBPD responded and found bullet casings in the area of PCH/Myrtle Ave. about a quarter mile west (one block west of MLK Ave., just north of Poly High, 6th Council district.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBREPORT.com that on November 18 at about 10:15 p.m., officers were sent to the intersection of PCH/Myrtle Ave. regarding shots heard in the area. They found bullet casings, but no victims, suspects or witness at the scene.

As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, on November 18 at about 5:45 p.m., a man and woman in their 50's were shot and killed while driving in the 1300 block of E. 17th St. (between Alamitos and Gundry Aves.) LBPD is investigating the double-homicide as gang related.
