(November 16, 2018) -- In a November 16 update, retired Sheriff's Lieutenant Alex Villanueva has widened his lead over incumbent L.A. County Sheriff (and former LBPD Chief) Jim McDonnell. It's now grown to 51.33% (1,112,673) for Villanueva to 48.67% (1,054,863) for McDonnell. With the two separated by 57,810 votes, an estimated 422,600 ballots left remain to be counted.
