(Nov. 8, 2019, 3:45 a.m.) -- One week to the day (nearly to the hour) at the location where the lives of father Joseph Awaida, mother Raihan and their three-year old son Omar were taken (through an act by an individual for whom justice remains to be done), their surviving parents and relatives saw an outpouring of support from Long Beach residents and local officialdom.

The candlelight vigil at Los Cerritos Park included heartfelt and eloquent words amplified by the visible display of solidarity and support for the surviving familymembers. Among those present were Faisal (Raihan's father) and Vera (Joseph's mother) who responded with grace and gratitude.

Just hours earlier, the wheels of justice also advanced as LB police presented materials to the L.A. County District Attorney's office that prosecutors will examine in deciding on criminal charges that may be alleged against the individual arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI/gross vehicular manslaughter.
