(Nov. 4, 2019, 7:30 a.m.) -- A man was stabbed in the parking lot of the Vons store near the Traffic Circle (4th Council district) at midafternoon Sunday (November 3.)

In an email with preliminary information, LBPD Watch Commander Lt. James Richardson said that at about 2 pm., officers responded to a stabbing in the 1800 block of Ximeno Ave., found a man (adult) with stab wounds, whom LBFD transported to a hospital, at that time reported in critical condition.

Lt. Richardson indicated: "A possible suspect later turned himself in to LASD Compton station and was picked up by LBPD for investigation. Detectives have responded to investigate. The incident may be gang related. The investigation is still ongoing and it is unknown if the possible suspect will be booked at this time."
