(Nov. 19, 2020, 12:15 p,m.) -- Earlier today a 16 year girl allegedly shot a man, stole his vehicle in the area of PCH/Maine Ave. and a short LBPD pursuit followed that ended in the area of 7th St,/Daisy where officers took the teenage suspect into custory.

The shooting victim (a 25 year old man) was taken to a hospital by LBFD in stable condition. LBPD says it recovered a firearm from the vehicle.

As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, District Attorney-elect George Gascon indicated during his campaign, and has since reiterated, that he won't prosecute juveniles as adults.
