(Nov. 3, 2021) -- A man was shot/wounded along the Artesia Blvd. corridor on Monday afternoon (Nov. 1) and on Tuesday night (Nov. 2) police documented gunfire in the area just north of the 91 freeway (CD 9/Richardson).

On Nov. 1, a man was shot/wounded along Artesia Blvd. and (believed to be) the area of Paramount Blvd. LBPD PIO Brandon Fahey says officers responded to the location at about 2:54 p.m. The victim indicated an unknown suspect approached him, shot him and fled the scene prior to officers arrival although officers couldn't find a crime scene at that precise location.

On Nov. 2, police found evidence of shots fired in the 1800 block of E. 68th St. (north of 91 freeway.) Overnight Watch Commander Lt. Michael Deprete says officers responded at about 10:55 p.m. and found evidence of a shooting but no person(s) hit. (He notes LBFD was on-scene near the shooting on an unrelated call for service.)
