Man Is Shot/Wounded 5000 block Garford St. (Apt. Area East of Vons And Traffic Circle (CD 4/Supernaw)

(Nov. 9, 2021, 5:50 a.m.,updated 9:35 a.m.) -- Initial information is sketchy but LBPD confirms a man was shot/wounded in the midnight hour in the 5000 block of Garford St. (near Beverly Plaza in apartment area east of the Traffic Circle.(CD 4/Supernaw)).

LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Jose Flores says officers responded on Nov. 9 at about 12:15 a.m. to the 5000 block of Garford St and found a man (adult) suffering from a gunshot wound. LBFD transported the victim to a hospital where at last report he was listed in stable condition.

[UPDATE] LBPD PIO Brandon Fahey says the victim stated he was inside an apartment comlex when he became involved in an altercation with an unknown man (adult) suspec that escalated to a shooting. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. [end UDPATE]

There's no indication a suspect(s) is in custody,

On Sept. 5, 2021, Councilman Supernaw's 4th district had a shooting east of the Traffic Circle. A woman was robbed and shot in her parked vehicle near Ximeno Ave. in the 4500 block of E. PCH.

Other shootings have occurred in the 4th district a bit west of the Traffic Circle. In April 2021, casings were found (no persons hit) in the 1700 block Loma Ave. and in March 2021 casings were found (no persons hit) in the 2500 block of Spaulding and 2100 block E. 15th St.
