If LBREPORT.com didn't tell you,
who would?
No one in LBREPORT.com's ownership, reporting or editorial decision-making has ties to development interests, advocacy groups or other special interests; or is seeking or receiving benefits of City development-related decisions; or holds a City Hall appointive position; or has contributed sums to political campaigns for Long Beach incumbents or challengers. LBREPORT.com isn't part of an out of town corporate cluster and no one its ownership, editorial or publishing decisionmaking has been part of the governing board of any City government body or other entity on whose policies we report.

(Nov. 8, 2021, 11:35 a.m.) -- North Long Beach News publisher Dan Pressburg asked if LBREPORT.com could provide links to its video coverage of the 2018 Veterans Day Parade. Yes, it's below exactly as we webcast it.

Our 2021 special event coverage is made possible by John Osborn, II (US Army ret.)

Mr. Pressburg has separately written:

This week is Veteran's Day. On the 13th we will celebrate the Veteran's Day Festival and the life of Val Lerch [USCG ret.], Councilman, and wonderful community member who gave unselfishly to family, friends and Deforest Park. God Bless him as he gets peace in hospice care. I am sharing this- because we need more people like Val who gives from the goodness of his heart, doesn't ask for much but gives all whether in the service of his country or the service of his community. Blessings always Val.

Mr. Lerch is prominently visible in our video coverage, which was originally made possible in part by Neena Strichart, then-owner/publisher of SignalTribune.com (a publication now under different ownership.)

LB's grassroots organized annual Veterans Day Parade no longer exists. In its place is a festival (Nov. 13) at Houghton Park. But we hope you'll enjoy this on-demand "Virtual" LB Veterans Day Parade.

And thank you Val, and thank you Dan (USAF ret.) and thank you vets.
