NLB Gunfire Flies, No One Hit, 6100 block Linden Ave.

(October 27, 2018, 9:40 p.m.) -- Gunfire flew just after sunset on Friday (Oct. 26) in the 6100 block of Linden Ave. (9th Council district.) The area is slated to become the western side of a new retail center fronting Atlantic Ave. south of Harding St. Police found evidence of the shooting, although no one was hit, in the neighborhood SW of Houghton Park, about a block west and a block north of the offices of the Uptown Business District (business improvement district.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Ben Hearst tells LBRPEORT.com that officers were dispatched to the 6100 block of Linden Ave. at about 6:15 p.m. in response to a shots call; arriving officers found evidence of the shooting but no one hit; there's no suspect information; the motive is currently unknown; it's not known if the shooting is gang related...and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
