(Oct. 3, 2018, 6:55 p.m.) -- Is the City of Long Beach in negotiations with The Boeing Company to acquire the former Boeing "Globemaster" site at 2400 and 2401 E. Wardlow Rd.? It looks that way, based on an Oct. 2 City Council closed session item that listed a conference with the City's real property negotiator [City Manager Pat West] regarding property at 2400 and 2401 E. Wardlow Rd. with price and terms "under negotiation.

At the opening of the City Council's public session, City Attorney Parkin indicated there was no publicly reportable action taken in the closed session.

What is public is a now-ongoing process for what City of Long Beach Development Services calls the "Globemaster Corridor Specific Plan," currently seeking public input on a land use plan for the former Boeing C-17 plant and surrounding commercial and industrial areas.) PPT slides accompanying a Sept. 26 descriptive public meeting are here.
