(October 30, 2018. 10:10 a.m.) -- Filings with the City Clerk's office show that within the past week -- with vote by mail ballots already flying and less than a week before Nov. 6 election day -- the "Mayor Robert Garcia Committee & City Auditor Laura Doud Committee to Support Good Government Measures AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD" received contributions totaling $22,500 from three contributors:
As of Oct. 20, the Garcia-Doud committee reported an ending cash balance of $41,996 with outstanding debts of $79,080. Among accrued expenses that it paid between Oct. 16 and Oct. 20 was $1,250 (incurred between Oct 1-Oct 15) to Daniel Brezenoff, described in the filing as a sum for (FPPC abbreviation) "CNS" (campaign consultants.) LBPOA President James Foster tells LBREPORT.com that a July 9 contribution of $25,000 to the Committee (operated by Garcia, when it supported the June 2016 Measure M) from the LB Police Officers Ass'n PAC was to help pay off some of the Committee's remaining debt/unpaid bills from the Committee's Measure M campaign.
