Woman (Adult Pedestrian) Is Killed In Alleged Hit/Run, 2nd St. @ Tivoli Drive (Naples)

(October 28, 2018, updated at 4:50 p.m.) -- LBPD says a woman (adult) was struck and fatally injured in an alleged hit-and-run on 2nd St. at Tivoli Drive in the Naples area.

In a release, LBPD states:

On October 28, 2018, at approximately 01:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to 2nd Street and Tivoli Drive regarding a hit and run injury collision, which resulted in the death of a female adult.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was walking on the center median of 2nd Street near Tivoli Drive when she fell into the #1 lane of eastbound 2nd Street. The suspect vehicle was seen stopping before continuing eastbound, colliding with the victim and fleeing the scene. Long Beach Fire transported the victim to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as a 22-year-old resident of Anaheim. Her identification is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford F-150, with a silver toolbox in the bed and possibly a company decal on the driver’s door. ,p>Anyone who may information regarding this incident is asked to call Long Beach Police Collision Investigation Detective David Lauro at (562) 570-7355. (Oct. 28, 2018, 7:30 a.m.) -- Details are sketchy, but LBPD confirms that a woman (adult), a pedestrian, was killed in an alleged hit-and-run at roughly 1:30 a.m. Sunday at 2nd St./Tivoli Drive (in LB's Naples area.)

LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Chad Ellis says the suspect vehicle is a white Ford work pickup, something like a Ford 150, and possibbly had a work emblem.
