    (Oct. 8, 2019, 9:40 a.m.) -- LBREPORT.com reports below the following recent large contributions (made after the close of the high visibility Sept. 21 campaign reporting period but legally disclosed by the candidates within 24 hours) from sources seeking to elect them to LB's City Council (1st dist.) where they'd have a vote on citywide impacting policies.

    Vote by mail ballots (and campaign fliers) have been flying in the winner-take-all no-runoff race since late September with "election day" on Nov 5.

    The sums below are in addition to campaign contributions previously reported in detail by LBREPORT>com on Sept. 27 at this link.

    To Mary Zendejas:

  • L.A. County "Bizfed" ("Voice of L.A. County Employers Since 2008"; group opposed phase-out/ban of Modified Hydrofluroic Acid (MHF) at LB-adjacent Valero refinery and Torrance (ToRC) refinery): $1,000 (9/30)

  • O'Donnell for Assembly 2020: $2,500 (10/1)

  • Int'l Union of Operating Engrs Local 12 (Pasadena): $2,500 (10/4)
