(Oct. 27, 2020, 2:10 p.m.) -- It was the third LB shooting on Sunday Oct. 25 within about six hours. Residents heard gunfire, LBPD found evidence of the shooting -- and a driver says someone shot at him while he was waiting at a stop sign in the area of LB Blvd./Bizby Road (8th Council district/Al Austin).,,and the rounds missed hitting him.

LBPD PIO Brandon Fahey says officers responded at about 9:15 p.m., canvassed the area and found evidence, including bullet casings, that a shooting had occurred. "A short time later, officers responded to a residence regarding a call of a vehicle that was shot at." Officers contcted a man (victim) "who was determined to be associated with the shooting" and stated that he "was driving his vehicle and came to a stop when an adult male suspect approached his vehicle, shot at him, and fled the scene before officers arrived."

The victim wasn't hit; a motive for the shooting is unknown and LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
