(Oct. 19, 2020, 8:40 p.m.) -- A Sunday afternoon argument escalated to a shooting (Oct. 18) outside a convenience store in the 6100 block of Atlantic Ave. (south of Harding St. south of Houghton Park.)

Bullets flew but no persons were hit.

LBPD Public Information Officer Brandon Fahey says the suspects shot at a man (adult), then drove off and allegedly switched cars, but officers spotted the switched vehicle in the area of Atlantic/Artesia, conducted a traffic stop and arrested two suspects, a man and a woman, plus a male alleged accessory to the crime), all adults, and also recovered a firearm.

The female suspect, s 30 year old Buena Park; resident, was arrested and booked on one count of suspicion of assault with a firearm on a person, one count of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and one count of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant.

A male suspect, 33 years old from LB, was arrested and booked on suspicion of one count of assault with a firearm on a person, one count of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

An alleged accessory to the crime, a 34 year old LB resident, was arrested and booked on one count of possession of unlawful paraphernalia and one outstanding warrant.
