(Oct. 22, 2021, 9:15 a.m.) -- A woman became the victim of an armed robbery on Thursday night Oct. 21 in the Alamitos Beach area at roughly 700 E. Shoreline Dr. (south of the Villa Riviera near the public restrooms.)

LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Marcus Hodge and PIO Richard Mejia confirm that at about 11:11 p.m., officers responded to the area regarding an armed robbery.

Two male suspects (ages unclear), one armed with a firearm, robbed the woman. The suspects fled before officers arrived.
