(Nov. 1 UPDATE) LBPD has arrested a suspect in the City of Compton. It arrested Richard Dalton Irigoyen, 27, of Long Beach, booked on suspicion of six counts of attempted murder, six counts of assault with a deadly weapon and 1 count of felony domestic violence. [end UPDATE]

(Oct 31, 2021, 11:45 a.m.) -- In what LBPD says began as a domestic violence incident between a man and a woman (both adults), the man allegedly drove a sedan into a crowd of people in the 1300 block of Orange Ave. in the 2 a.m. hour today (Oct. 31.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Allison Gallagher says LBFD responded at roughly 2;43 a.m. The suspect vehicle struck multiple persons. LBFD transported six persons (five adults and a juvenile) to hospitals where they are listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene, last seen headed northbound on Orange Ave.

LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
