Teen Fatally Shot, Two Others Wounded, 1400 Block Lewis Ave.

(Sept. 4, 2003) -- A 17-year old has been fatally shot, and a 17-year old and 19-year old were wounded, as gunfire pierced the night on Sept. 3 shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Lewis Ave. (b/w MLK & Alamitos, just north of Anaheim).

LBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates several people were in a backyard when two male Hispanics walking in an alley began shooting at them through a chain link fence.

The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot. LBPD detectives believe this crime may be gang related.

Anyone with information is asked to call LBPD Homicide Detectives Bryan McMahon or David Rios at (562) 570-7244.
