Sept. 30 text update: LBPOA President James Foster tells LBREPORT.com that a July 9 contribution of $25,000 to the Committee from the LB Police Officers Ass'n PAC (roughly a month after the June Measure M election) was to close out/help pay off remaining Committee debt/unpaid bills (listed as $39,863 as of June 30) from the Committee's Measure M campaign. As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, on Sept. 5 Mayor Garcia changed the name of his pro-Measure M Committee to the Garcia/Doud Committee to support Measures AAA-DDD. LBPOA President Foster says his organization hasn't donated any funds to the current ballot campaign for Measures AAA-DDD.

Mr. Foster adds that the LBPOA has supported the Mayor and Council members who have endorsed the ballot measures.

LBREPORT.com notes that Mr. Foster is a co-signer in his capacity as LBPOA President of the ballot arguments in support of Measure AAA (City Auditor's authority) and Measure BBB (term limits.)
