(Sept. 12, 2020, 1:45 p.m.) -- In LB's fourth shooting crime scene in as many days, a man (adult) and a female juvenile say an unknown suspect fired shots at them from his vehicle in the area of 56th St./Orange Ave. (8th dist./Austin.)

The crime scene is roughly a half a block from a temporary homeless shelter (5500 block Orange Ave, former North branch library.)

LBPD Administrator Karen Owens says officers heard the shots fired near their location at about 2:20 a.m., spotted the two victims apparently targeted and located a crime scene with bullet casings.

A few hours earlier on Sept. 11, multiple unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire, but no persons appear to have been hit, in the 1700 block of E,. 17th St. in LB's "Cambodia Town" (6th council district/Andrews.)

A day earlier on Sept. 10, a man was shot to death in downtown LB in the area of Atlantic Ave/4th St. (1st dist./) and LBPD arrested three suspects, in what police believe was an attempted robbery.

And a day prior on Sept. 9, a man was shot./wounded in the area of Atlantic Ave./1st St. (2nd dist./Pearce) in a possible attempted robbery. LBPD hasn't indicated whether it believes the two attempted robberies are related. .
