(Sept. 4, 2020, 4:30 p.m.) -- The National Weather Service has increased its forecast highs for Long Beach on Saturday-Sunday (Sept. 5-6.) Sunday is expected to be the hotter of the two days.

One piece of good news. It should be a dry heat (we hope.) In its online weather discussion (Sept. 4) NWS says "Some mid level moisture should move into the area this weekend with a few altocu at times, otherwise any monsoonal moisture will be minimal."

The forecst highs below were updated by NWS at 3:53 p.m. Sept. 4.
