(Sept. 5, 2020, 8:55 p.m.) -- The temperature at LB Airport touched 102 degrees on Sept. 5 -- short of a predicted 107 in 90808 -- but hot enough for most people.

As of 8:50 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service was sticking with its prediction of 108 for 90808 on Sunday (Sept. 6) with cooler temps forecast closer to the shore (predicted in lower 90s in 90802 and 90803) although that may change.
