(Sept. 17, 2021) -- A man (adult) was shot/wounded, and a woman (adult) was uninjured in a shooting last night (Sept. 16) while they walked in an alley in the 1600 block of Junipero Ave. (CD 4/Supernaw.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Richard Mejia says that at about 11:41 p.m. officers were sent to the area, contacted the two victims and learned they were approached by an unknown number of suspects, one of whom shot the male victim.

Officers found bullet casings confirming that a shooting had occurred. The suspects fled before officers arrived.,

Less than two weeks earlier on Sept. 5, Supernaw's 4th Council district had a no-person-hit shooting in the 1100 block of Obispo Ave. (onw block west of Redondo, two blocks south of Anaheim.)
