(Oct. 3, 2021, 7:05 a.m.) -- A woman was shot/wounded and several vehicles were struck by gunfire on Saturday night Oct. 2 in the 2000 block of Poppy St. (CD 9/Richardson).

In preliminary information, LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Shaleana Benson says officers responded at about 9:45 p.m. and found a woman (adult) with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim indicates she was inside her residence when she heard a large argument outside, followed by gunshots. The argument involving the victim's neighbors and unknown individuals devolved into a shooting.

As of dawn Sunday the suspects are outstanding; Gang detectives are assisting in the investigation.
